MTD Infra revenue to rise 20% in FY08

Toll concessionaire MTD Infraperdana Bhd sees a 20% increase in its revenue for the new financial year ending March 31, 2008, in line with the hike in toll rates this year.

Its deputy vice chairman Nik Fauzi Nik Hussein said on March 30 that despite the higher revenue in FY08, he was expecting marginal impact on the earnings this year.

The earnings would not grow as fast due to operating expenses, he said after the AGM in Batu Caves, Selangor.

Nik Fauzi said MTD Infra had allocated RM100 million as capital expenditure to rehabilitate the 60km Karak stretch, which began 18 months ago.

“So far, we have spent RM60 million of the RM100 million allocated and we expect the works to be completed by June this year,” he said.
